What to Expect

Eight Week Old Kittens

By the end of this week, kittens should weigh two pounds each.

Kittens should weigh approximately 2 pounds or 900 grams.

Kittens can be spayed or neutered at 2 pounds if they are healthy.

They are now ready to be adopted out based on the criteria established by your organization. It is always hard to let a kitten go to a new home, however they will be getting the attention and dedicated time that he or she will need and you can help save another kitten that otherwise would probably not make it without you.
