What to Expect

Three Week Old Kittens

The floor temperature of the nest box should be 75 to 80 degrees.

Kittens will weigh approximately 10 ounces.

At three weeks of age, a kitten should eat a total of 31/2 tablespoons in a 24-hour period. Feed every 4-6 hours.

Their ears will become erect.

Kittens begin to crawl around day 18 and stand by day 21.

Kittens will begin to play with each other, biting ears, tails, and paws even before their teeth have come in.

Milk teeth erupt.

Kittens learn to sit and touch objects with their paws.

Continue to stimulate for urination and defecation.

Start to handle and cuddle kittens.
